In nearly 4 weeks from now, Fox Sports will be stepping into the realm of the 24 hour sports coverage to be a legitimate competitor to ESPN. Major sports such as the UFC and MLB to name a few have been linked to Fox Networks for having exclusive coverage; but the big elephant in the room the NFL.
While the season is already set with scheduled gams and networks (debunked because of NBC flexible schedules ONLY), we?re hoping the NFL can work out a plan to air a game during Sunday afternoon for those without Sunday Ticket privileges. ESPN has Monday nights, NFL Network has Thursday, and NBC will continue to have Sunday night.
The NBA which also partners with FOX networks for regional coverage, could also see a splash on the network (refer to the lack of a non NBA schedule release yet). You can continue after the jump to watch the official promo-hype video and stay tuned for Fox Sports 1 coming this August!
